We are an all-age Anglican community of Christians from Redditch and the surrounding area, who are seeking to follow Jesus and serve him in our local community. We form part of the Ipsley Parish group of churches, although the people who attend St John’s come from a variety of traditions. Our particular area of the parish covers Greenlands, Woodrow and Wirehill.
We have a variety of Sunday services, and we welcome people from every age group. We have a very active children’s work.
We encourage adults to get involved with one of our mid-week fellowship groups, as this is the place in which people can really get to know each other.
At St John’s, we want to be clear about what we believe and what our purpose is; that is, to grow together in our love for Jesus and for each other, and to commit ourselves to our wider community, to see where God is active, and then to follow.
As a church, we firmly believe that the Bible is God’s word for today, and that our worship together releases the Spirit of God and opens us to a deeper knowledge of him.
Prayer is at the very centre of all we do here at St John’s, including regular opportunities for individual prayer ministry.
In all, we try to follow the ‘3 G’s’…..

Created to Glorify God the Father:

Committed to Grow as disciples of Jesus;

Called to Go Out in the power of the Holy Spirit to love and serve a broken and  hurting world.

This is my prayer for you as you read this, and for each member of St John’s:

  ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,
  So that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’
